Concept Plus is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for the Asia Pacific Region to support the mission of a federal client and ensure that highly complex, technical infrastructure requirements are addressed. The Senior Network Engineer is a key personnel role, responsible for identifying and resolving larger, more complex LAN/WLAN/WAN network problems, researching network-level issues using network management tools, and providing high-level installation, configuration, documentation, management and troubleshooting of LAN/WLAN/WAN communication equipment for all client facilities within the Asia Pacific Region.

• Serve as the regional point of contact for network issues, configuration management, communications interconnection, and multi-protocol routing and network management.
• Advise and consult with client staff, agencies, and other contractor representatives involved with LAN/WLAN/WAN design, network implementation, deployment, and management to ensure the LAN/WLAN/WAN adequately supports the mission and provides optimal performance. Interface with and leads Network Specialists and internal or external organizations to resolve LAN/WLAN/WAN issues.
• Resolve technical issues associated with network and routing protocols at all levels of the client model using diagnostics and network administration tools such as Orion Solar Winds, ARMIS, and Ansible. Understand Management Information Blocks (MIB) and MRTG to measure, plan, and execute methodologies to ensure high performance levels and minimum downtime.
• Maintain LAN/WLAN/WAN security for barrier systems and prevent unauthorized access to MTF systems. Establish and configure network firewalls, VPN devices, and IDSs.
• Provide written recommendations to personnel in the field by making changes to network operations or enhancements, and documenting the change via a ticket, creating a written standard, or updating standards with the NetMOD Network Standards Team.
• Study vendor products to determine components and configurations that best meet client requirements in the Pacific region.
• Establish and implement LAN/WLAN/WAN procedures and standards to ensure compliance with client objectives and policies. Communicate with key customers on the status of all network support requests.
• Continuously evaluate and resolve complex technical issues related to network and routing protocols at all levels of the model.
• Utilize diagnostics and network administration tools as needed.
• Provide proactive input on policies and issues related to standardization, and develop and write policies and procedures that identify best-practice solutions for LAN/WLAN/WAN operations.
• Define and establish minimum standards related to LAN/WLAN/WAN access and its impact on overall network operations.
• Lead or participate in other projects and provide support as needed.

• The Senior Network Engineer must have a mastery of common networking protocols and technologies, such as: TCP/IP, XDM, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, RSTP, VRRP, BIND, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, PPP, HDLC, V.35, RS-449 and a clear understanding of 802.1d, 802.1q, 802.1w, 802.3, 802.5, 802.10, 802.11, 802.3u, 803.2, and 802.3z.
• Clear understanding of synchronous/asynchronous protocols, Ethernet variants, FDDI, and ATM
• Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR)
• EIA/TIA cabling standards and specifications
• Experience with DoD Health Care Information Systems
• Windows networks
• Cisco systems
• Orion Solar Winds
• Zero Trust architectures and methodologies
• One or more certifications aligned with enterprise-deployed network architectures:
  Security+, Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP, Cisco CCST, Cisco CCIE, Brocade BCNE
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, technical degree, or related discipline
• 5 years of directly related experience; or successful completion of a certified technical or vocational program and 10 years of related experience through progressively higher levels of complexity
