Operations Manager
We are seeking a Project Manager - Drilled Shafts / Deep Foundations to join the team in Hawaii. This is a high-impact role with full responsibility for a complex, large-scale infrastructure project where drilled shafts are central to execution. The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge and proven leadership in geotechnical scopes and is excited to step into a high-visibility, project-critical position.
WhatYou’ll Do as the Project Manager - Drilled Shafts / Deep Foundations:
- Lead overall execution of drilled shaft and deep foundation work from planning through close-out
- Oversee project budgets, forecasting, and cost control measures
- Manage subcontracting, procurement, and vendor relationships
- Develop and maintain project schedules and coordinate field execution
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and contract terms
- Interface with owners, joint ventures, consultants, and internal teams
- Track production, generate reports, and conduct post-project performance reviews
- Develop and execute change orders and risk mitigation strategies
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- At least 15 years of experience in drilled shaft or deep foundation construction
- Proven experience managing 5-foot diameter or larger shaft projects
- 5+ years serving as the lead Project Manager on geotechnical scopes
- 5+ years of estimating experience for similar project types
Strong familiarity with CIDH piles, shoring, tiebacks, and retaining structures - Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Background in estimating geotechnical or heavy civil scopes
