Highway Construction Inspector , Ii, Iii And Iv - Highways; Of Oahu

The State of Hawaii is seeking Highway Construction Inspectors at various levels (I, II, III, and IV) for the Oahu District Office, Department of Transportation - Highways. Salaries range from $4,537 to $6,704 per month, depending on the level and step.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect construction of highways to ensure conformance with plans, specifications, and standard methods of work.
• Perform related duties as assigned, such as resolving problems and supervising lower-level inspectors.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from high school or equivalent, or work experience demonstrating knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and arithmetic.
• One year of work experience in a construction trade or technical, non-professional engineering tasks under general supervision.
• Specialized experience in the inspection of highway construction phases for levels II, III, and IV.
• Valid driver's license in the State of Hawaii at the time of appointment.
