Electrical Engineer

At Coffman Engineers, we serve as both prime consultant and sub consultant on projects large and small, including commercial, retail, institutional, government, industrial, and project/construction management. Coming to our Honolulu location, Coffman Engineers seeks an Electrical Engineer with over four years of experience in consulting engineering and project management. The role involves designing electrical systems, working closely with architectural practices, and collaborating within a multi‑disciplinary team.

• Design electrical and lighting plans and specifications for a variety of building types
• Work closely with the electrical department and other engineering disciplines to coordinate deliverables for our clients
• Contribute to Coffman’s marketing and business initiatives as needed
• Work independently and collaboratively with others

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum four years of consulting electrical engineering experience
• Local architectural/engineering community experience is desired
• Department of Defense design experience is desired
• Registration as PE (preferred)
• Project Management experience is required
• Must be able to obtain U.S. Security clearance
• Must have experience in supervising, estimating, and negotiating contracts
  
  Must be able to supervise and manage projects of varying sizes
• Excellent leadership, supervisory, and writing and verbal communication skills
• Experience with site investigations to verify existing conditions
• Experience with reviewing contractor submittals and performing construction observations
• Willing to travel

Expected annual salary of $80,000 - $100,000.
