Senior Mechanical Design Engineer I (MEP) – Honolulu, HI (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities- Plan and design MEP systems to meet project specifications, budgets, building codes, and deadlines.
- Collaborate with architects, owners, and engineers to develop project plans, including scope, budget, and timeline.
- Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to identify risks and limitations.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for timely milestone completion and monitor project progress.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction activities comply with plans and quality standards.
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes; conduct inspections and audits for compliance.
- Prepare and maintain project documents, including progress reports and meeting notes.
- Lead and mentor multi‑disciplinary project teams, promote effective communication and knowledge sharing.
- Serve as subject matter expert during project meetings and presentations.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, preferably mechanical engineering or building services.
- 8+ years of proven experience in MEP design consulting in Hawaii.
- Advanced knowledge of building industry codes and standards.
- Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- LEED accreditation
- Experience with Autodesk Revit
- Competitive pay: $93,548 to $119,280 annual salary plus conditional bonus.
