Position Overview
Water Market Project Manager – Jacobs. Honolulu, HI.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a key member, you will act as Project Manager and/or Technical Lead, planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of projects with high technical complexity from concept through detailed design, construction services, and commissioning.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team to complete tasks within established schedules and budgets.
- Mentor and coach early and mid‑career engineers and designers, while also being mentored by senior staff.
- Identify new opportunities in which Jacobs Hawaii can further serve clients and communities, and assist in business development strategies.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with local municipalities, private utilities, and other water/wastewater, conveyance, and water resources clients.
- Advise on projects such as pipelines, pump stations, water and wastewater treatment facilities, and green stormwater infrastructure.
- Mentoring – formal and informal mentoring programs with a dedicated budget for both mentoring and being mentored.
- Training – comprehensive training from project management skills to safety and technical topics.
- Career Development – development of a career path plan with regional leadership to grow into desired projects and programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct management experience of project teams.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License.
- Proven experience in planning and designing small to large projects.
- Proven experience managing teams of designers, scientists, and technology professionals.
- Strong network with local municipalities, private utilities, and other water/wastewater, conveyance, and water resources clients.
- Active involvement in a professional organization.
- Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
