Office Engineer

Job Summary

Office Engineer – Tutor Perini Corporation, HART City Center Guideway and Stations project, Honolulu, HI. Reports to Project Manager and works on a $1.66billion contract for six rail stations and approximately three miles of elevated guideway.

Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Coordinate with subcontractors on advanced material acquisitions and pre‑construction deliverables.
• Assist with obtaining quotes and drafting contracts to meet project requirements.
• Prepare, update, and distribute work activity schedules and updates, and communicate across discipline groups and agencies to ensure proper advance notifications and coordination of start times.
• Assist with subcontract administration and permanent material suppliers through monitoring of correspondence, submittals, RFIs, and performance records; maintain accurate payment records.
• Prepare monthly progress payment reports, schedule updates, and issue tracking and resolution.
• Provide accurate and factual assessments of project performance.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or similar) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 3 years of construction experience.
• Experience calculating quantities and performing takeoffs.
• Knowledge of project controls techniques (cost accounting, basic estimating, forecasting, and contracts).
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous experience in structural analysis preferred.

Expected salary range: $100,000–$140,000, depending upon experience.
