AECOM has an immediate need for a middle‑to‑Senior Project Manager (PM V) to support Environmental Remediation projects in Hawaii and Guam, based in Honolulu. The role focuses on managing large‑scale remediation projects, overseeing a team of up to 10 people including subcontractors, and leading projects valued at $10 million or more.
Responsibilities- Responsible for overall management administration of the project and assists in establishing project‑specific objectives and policies.
- Provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and acts as the primary liaison between AECOM and the client interface.
- Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.
- Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout; the position carries significant profit/loss responsibility for the assigned project.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related discipline and 8+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- US Citizen, for access to DoD project sites.
- Ability to travel at least 10% of the time.
- Must successfully pass pre‑employment background check and motor vehicle records check.
- Sponsorship for this position will not be available now or in the future.
- Master’s Degree in environmental engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related discipline. (Preferred)
- Ability to obtain DBIDs passes to gain access to any required federal military installation site locations. (Preferred)
- Experience with CERCLA and environmental science principles, including site assessment, characterization, remediation, risk assessment, and environmental chemistry.
- Current 40‑Hour HAZWOPER and Supervisor certifications; must meet medical clearance requirements of an OSHA (HAZWOPER) medical surveillance physical examination.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Professional registration.
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and preparing technical reports.
- Knowledgeable and experienced with State of Hawaii, Department of Health TGM, SCP, and local environmental regulation.
- Extensive DOD and CLEAN experience in Hawaii and Guam.
- Proven project estimating experience, preferably environmental.
- Demonstrated experience with client and regulatory interactions.
- Excellent written and spoken communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
- Field work may be required, including oversight of subcontractors.
