AECOM is actively seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of wastewater treatment experience to join our team. This position is based in Honolulu, Hawaii, with consideration for qualified applicants in other Hawaii locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead or support design tasks for civil projects related to water and wastewater treatment.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and bid documents in compliance with state and local standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including subconsultants and internal design groups (structural, electrical, geotechnical).
• Provide support during construction phases, including site visits, submittal reviews, and RFI responses.
• Interface with clients, stakeholders, and permitting agencies to support project delivery.
• Contribute to project management activities, including scope, schedule, and budget tracking under senior staff direction.
• Assist in mentoring junior engineers and support their technical development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 4+ years of progressive civil engineering experience, preferably in water or wastewater treatment projects or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6-12 months.
• Familiarity with construction administration and QA/QC procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel periodically for client meetings and site visits.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with pump stations, sewer pipeline design, grading, and drainage.
• Knowledge of state and local regulatory requirements.

Work Schedule:

This role requires a hybrid schedule with in-office work in Honolulu.
