Engineer II – $6,043 to $6,921 per month (EN-20, Step D to I)
Engineer III – $6,528 to $7,475 per month (EN-22, Step D to I)

Duties SummaryEngineer I performs routine professional engineering work requiring basic engineering principles and techniques, following well‑established practices and specific instructions.
Engineer II performs specific and limited professional engineering assignments requiring standard methods and techniques, possibly involved in minor phases of a broad project.
Engineer III performs moderately difficult professional engineering work in planning, design, construction, maintenance, operation, and evaluation of engineering projects or facilities, or assists higher‑level engineers on more complex projects.
Minimum Qualification RequirementsApplicants will be placed on the eligible list for all levels for which they are qualified.
To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:
- Legal authorization to work: U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
- Basic
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four‑year college or university. Graduating within three months may be accepted with transcript and certification of enrollment. - Engineering
Experience:
None for Level I; one year for Level II; two years for Level III. - Driver’s License:
Some positions may require a valid driver’s license. - Special requirements:
Ability to lift and carry loads (with reasonable accommodation if necessary).
Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Clearance and Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Clearance information and related criminal history checks are required for positions that require unescorted access to secured areas. Applicants will be responsible for the cost of these checks.
