Logistics Operations Technical Documentation Specialist (Honolulu, Hawaii)
We are seeking an experienced, on-site Logistics Operations Technical Documentation Specialist in Honolulu, Hawaii for a contingent opportunity in based on contract award. In this role, you will provide operational technical writing support for Task 4 operations and sustainment activities under the ILS2 Task Order. You will be responsible for developing, revising, and maintaining technical documentation, operational procedures, sustainment guidance, maintenance instructions, and troubleshooting materials required for ongoing facility and infrastructure operations.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all documentation is accurate, operationally relevant, and aligned with sustainment requirements across both fixed and expeditionary operational environments.
- Technical Writing & Maintenance: Develop, revise, and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, sustainment guidance, maintenance instructions, and troubleshooting materials.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, logistics, security, operational, and training personnel to keep documentation accurate and aligned with approved procedures.
- Sustainment Content Development: Support the development of operational guidance materials, continuity documentation, configuration support files, and maintenance-related technical content for fixed and expeditionary environments.
- Documentation Updates: Update technical materials resulting from system modifications, sustainment changes, procedural revisions, and operational lessons learned.
- Mission Readiness Support: Ensure operational personnel have immediate access to accurate, reliable, and technically sound documentation to sustain operational readiness and continuity of operations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Experience: 3 to 10 years of professional experience supporting technical writing, editing, records management, document control, reporting, configuration documentation, and knowledge management activities.
- Education: Bachelor's (BA/BS) or Master's (MA/MS) degree.
- High School Diploma / GED: 7 years of relevant experience
- Associate's Degree: 6 years of relevant experience
- BA/BS Degree: 4–6 years of relevant experience
- MA/MS Degree: 2 years of relevant experience
- Doctorate Degree: 0 years of experience
- Competency: Journeyman personnel are expected to perform all functional duties independently.
- Preferred Credentials: Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), records management certification, administrative professional, travel coordination, or equivalent business operations credentials.
