Position Summary
A Civil Engineer IV performs professional engineering work in the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of civil engineering projects.
What You Will Do- Design structures such as reservoirs, retaining walls, bridges, culverts, tunnels, pipelines, sewers, sidewalks, highways, etc
- Prepare designs, plans, specifications, estimates, and reports
- Supervise construction and inspection activities
- Review and interpret plans and specifications of buildings and structures
- Honolulu Board of Water Supply, Capital Projects Division, Construction Branch – 3 vacancies
- Department of Environmental Services, Wastewater Engineering & Construction Division – 2 vacancies
- Department of Facility Maintenance, Storm Water Quality Division – 2 vacancies
Actual salary commensurate with applicable experience, pending approval.

Education RequirementEquivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in an engineering specialty.
Experience RequirementThree years of non-registered professional civil engineering experience.
