Engineer, Systems Engineer

Duties

• You will serve as the Hawaii Project Lead for Underwater Tracking Range Equipment and Special Projects.
• You will be responsible for project planning, budgeting, scheduling, coordination, implementation, tracking, executing, and delegating.
• You will apply knowledge and experience in engineering theory, design, analysis and testing as it applies to research and development, in-service and operations within the Navy.
• You will execute complex engineering and technical projects and provide technical direction to team members on the execution of projects.
• You will apply technical knowledge of Fleet operations, shipboard systems, undersea warfare, underwater range tracking equipment, underwater targets and/or other applicable systems.

• This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band ND-03 (GS-9/11 equivalent) in the Federal service, or in the public or private sector as a professional Engineer analyzing the design, test or development of undersea systems or equipment. Examples of qualifying experience may include serving as a project lead on complex maritime tracking technology tasking, coordinating the preparation, testing, and maintenance of specialized equipment, and managing project budgets and schedules, delegating team tasks, and briefing senior civilian and military leaders.

Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
