Our Hawaii offices have an opening for a self‑motivated Civil Engineer with 0–2+ years of experience to work on projects related to wastewater, water reuse, infrastructure, and stormwater.
Responsibilities- Execute planning, design, and engineering services for wastewater and water treatment, stormwater, infrastructure, and water reuse projects.
- Conduct technical evaluations to support planning and design activities.
- Perform project management, deputy project management, or task manager roles.
- Perform engineering work on a variety of environmental engineering projects.
- Prepare calculations, technical memoranda, reports, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Conduct field work as necessary.
- Communicate and coordinate with project teams, including other disciplines.
- Successfully manage and deliver assignments on time and on budget.
- Adhere to the company QA/QC process.
- Self‑starter, results‑oriented, and ability to work under deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, or related field required.
- Related coursework or internship experience required; 2+ years of professional experience preferred.
- Desire to work on wastewater, water resources, water reuse, infrastructure, and stormwater projects.
- FE license (or ability to obtain in the near future) preferred.
- Strong technical skills and ability to articulate ideas and concepts.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and on large coordinated teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities.
- Willingness to perform fieldwork at various sites.
- Knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, AutoCAD, GIS, and Bluebeam.
- Strong aptitude for researching and solving technical problems.
The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending on skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
