As a summer intern at Oceanit, you’ll gain invaluable hands‑on experience while working alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry. Whether you’re tackling complex problems, developing cutting‑edge technologies, or exploring new frontiers of research, you’ll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to making a global impact.

What will you do as a Mechanical Engineering Summer Intern?
  • Work alongside our team on real‑world projects, such as designing mechanical systems, developing prototypes, improving energy‑efficient machines, or enhancing safety equipment for first responders.
  • Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and other professionals on diverse projects—creating product designs, optimizing manufacturing processes, developing robotics or automated systems, or testing mechanical performance under real‑world conditions.
  • Conceive and develop your own mechanical engineering project proposal and present it to the Review Committee, demonstrating creativity, technical skills, and practical problem‑solving.
  • Gain hands‑on field experience by collecting performance data, testing prototypes, or assisting with the assembly and maintenance of mechanical systems.
What are we looking for in a Mechanical Engineering Summer Intern?
  • Recent graduate (within the past year) OR student currently enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a degree‑seeking program (diploma, certificate, etc.) at a 2‑year or 4‑year college/university, or graduate/professional school.
  • Major in Mechanical Engineering, Astronomy, Physics, or a related technology field.
  • Academic project or work experience in mechanical engineering, robotics, manufacturing, or product design.
  • Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with high initiative and recent experience across various aspects of product development and engineering.
