This position is part of All-Domain Operations (ADO) within HII’s Mission Technologies division. It reports to the Site OIC/Deputy OIC and is responsible for managing the day‑to‑day operations and technical readiness of the program and facility equipment, supporting 24/7/365 watch‑standing duties, managing all program systems, equipment and components, troubleshooting outages, coordinating with agencies, maintaining habitability, conducting preventive maintenance, and updating procedures.

What

You Will Do
  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Analyze all levels of the total system product, including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
  • Convert customer or product requirements into total system solutions accounting for technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Provide technical expertise for the installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of installed systems.
  • Act as Power Control Station / Power Safety Officer (PCO/PSO), overseeing routine and preventive maintenance.
  • Inform the chain of command of any substantive changes to routine system configuration or capability.
  • Draft daily, monthly, and weekly watch bills to support operational requirements.
What We Are Looking For
  • 2 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree in a related field; or high school diploma or equivalent and 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Background in electronic maintenance, information systems or telecommunications disciplines.
  • Experience managing electronic equipment for preventive and corrective maintenance, configuration, and calibration.
  • Experience with safety procedures when working with electronic equipment.
  • Ability to identify and correct emergent problems involving technical and/or facility equipment, systems, and components.
  • Experience following quality assurance steps and checks.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain base access credentials.
  • U.S. citizen.
Preferred (Bonus Points For)
  • Strong background in communications, fiber optics, electrical/electronic components, generators, AC/DC and high/low voltage theory and application.
  • Knowledge of installation and maintenance of electrical/electronic components and key management infrastructure.
  • Experience and operational knowledge of various test equipment.
  • Development, review, and implementation of policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Lifecycle management of programs and equipment.
  • Experience with information systems, network infrastructure, troubleshooting, and program analysis.
Physical Requirements

Office, industrial, or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders, tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving materials may be required.
