Power Delivery Project Engineer - (193743)
In this role, you’ll lead electric utility projects across Hawaii, owning projects end-to-end, working directly with clients and utilities, and helping solve the unique challenges of islanded power systems.
What You’ll Do- Lead delivery of electric utility projects, guiding overhead and underground design from planning through construction.
- Own project performance – scope, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction.
- Manage and mentor multidisciplinary teams in a high‑performing environment.
- Serve as the primary liaison with utilities, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Drive technical quality through QA/QC and adherence to standards.
- Lead design reviews, stakeholder meetings, and presentations.
- Manage change processes, permitting, and regulatory approvals.
- Support construction through field engagement and issue resolution.
- Continuously improve project delivery through lessons learned and feedback.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (e.g., PE or P.Eng).
- Previous experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office and standard Power Market Sector design software (e.g., PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Auto Pipe, Revit).
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to being an active participant of the employee‑owned culture.
- 3+ years of experience in power delivery/project execution.
- Prior experience with an engineering consulting firm.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage client relationships.
- Experience in power delivery, utility engineering, or related infrastructure.
- Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of utility standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Proactive mindset with a drive for ownership and results.
