Martin, Chock & Carden is interested in Structural Engineers with design experience and progressive attitudes, and CAD Operators experienced in structural drafting and architectural coordination. Applications may be emailed to

• Structural design and detailing for projects primarily in Hawaii, and field support and construction administration.
• Investigative and report writing assignments are also expected.
• Computer analysis, design, and drawing production.
• Research

Minimum Qualifications:
Engineer with project experience in structural design of building and field experience including structural steel, concrete, wood, and masonry; computer software experience. Proficient verbal & written communication skills.

Desired

Qualifications:


Ability to contribute productively to engineering design projects and construction observation. Ability to investigate practical applications of new construction technology. Research interest in wind and seismic engineering and GIS.

Educational Requirements:
Master of Science in Civil (Structural) Engineering or higher.

Other Requirements:
AutoCAD – basic drawing skills desirable
Research, statistical, and GIS background skills would be a helpful asset
Knowledge of Light-Gauge Steel Framing desirable.

Pay Rate: Commensurate

Work Hours: Flexible between 7:30am-4:30pm to 9:00am-6:00pm: 40 hours per week
