Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Job Duties
You will plan and coordinate on-site reviews for the evaluation of personnel protection/prevention and safety programs.
You will conduct daily shipboard safety inspections and make on the spot recommendations to correct unsatisfactory and unsafe conditions.
You will report findings to the involved contractor, divisions, and stakeholders.
You will utilize the output of various contractor systems and procedures for cost estimating, labor and overhead, budgeting, purchasing and resource planning.
You will prevent unauthorized modifications/alterations to any vessels (surface ship, submarine, small vessels, and living barges) in preparation for, or during execution of a scheduled period of port time.
You will develop repair specifications and government estimates in support of various contracts.
You will present information, ideas and conclusions clearly and concisely both in writing and orally.
You will work multiple assignments at various stages and at various locations, which include but are not limited to onboard naval vessels, at contractor facilities, and traveling to other stateside locations or foreign countries.
You will negotiate and represent the government during work package planning and for contract change orders.
