Placement Student – Manufacturing Engineering

• Use LEAN tools (including 5S) and methodologies to drive continuous improvements across the manufacturing process.
• Plan, design, purchase and implement integrated manufacturing and assembly processes, managing projects of varying sizes to successful conclusions.
• Compile and present data on key performance indicators, chair meetings to discuss required details.
• Work as part of a team implementing process improvements within the assembly process.
• Participate in the design and layout of new and existing workstations to improve efficiency and accommodate new tooling and products.
• Review and develop assembly workstation documentation, including assembly graphics using CREO/CAD.

• Studying towards a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Controls Engineering or a similar field.
• Self‑motivated with excellent communication skills and a keen willingness to learn.
• A good level of IT skills including Microsoft applications; experience with Minitab or CREO/CAD is a plus but not essential.
