Responsibilities- Oversee the operations and ensure the correct functionality of the ATS, SCADA, and Telecommunications systems and equipment to meet contract performance requirements.
- Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve system and subsystem faults; support field technicians in diagnosis and correction of faults.
- Repair outages related to ATS, SCADA, CCTV cameras, network switches, datacenter servers, the access control system (ACS), and the intrusion detection system (IDS).
- Complete operational, equipment failure, safety, and other required reports.
- Perform routine, preventive maintenance and unscheduled corrective maintenance, inspections, adjustments, testing, cleaning, and proper maintenance on assigned equipment per schematics, operation manuals, and manufacturer instructions.
- Coordinate with the Engineering Fault Controller and provide forecasts on repair time for system faults.
- Participate in training ATS, SCADA, and Telecommunication system technicians.
- Analyze log files to troubleshoot problems or provide predictive maintenance.
- Periodically download and archive system, video, and voice log files.
- Perform related duties as required and ensure effective first-line maintenance safety standards.
- Flexibility to work shift rotations, weekends, and holidays typical of major infrastructure projects and operational rail transit systems.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in communication system maintenance.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience maintaining ATS, SCADA and Telecommunications systems; at least 5 years of experience with Windows systems and networking.
- Experience in Information Technology:
Systems & Network Engineering in a Datacenter environment. - Expert knowledge in communications systems; CCTV and supporting IP cameras.
- Experience and knowledge of software and technical administration techniques.
- Strong communication with field staff and control room personnel.
- Ability to work independently and in a team with minimal supervision; perform under pressure.
- Problem-solving ability and practical knowledge.
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Understanding of software programming logic.
- Ability to read, understand, and implement configuration files for radios or networking devices.
- Experience with UHF/VHF and Microwave Radio Systems, Networks and Fiber Optic Cabling Systems.
- Maintenance management systems (e.g., Maximo) and preventive/corrective maintenance work orders.
- Working knowledge of Windows servers and Linux/UNIX operating systems.
- Networking knowledge (switching, routing, Firewalls & VPNs) and tools like Wireshark.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, ISDN, SIP, and related test equipment; experience with RF systems and telecommunications interfaces (FXO/FXS, T1/E1, Ethernet, VoIP).
- Ability to read and implement scripts (BASH, Python, Perl) for failure analysis.
- Experience with fiber optics, radio communications hardware, schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals.
Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field

Salary and BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $80,000–$120,000. Final pay is determined by the candidate’s experience, skillset and ability level, internal equity and location.
