Position Summary
Engineer III – performs moderately difficult professional engineering work in the planning, design, construction, maintenance, operation, and/or evaluation of engineering projects or facilities, assists higher‑level engineers on more complex projects, and performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification Requirements- Legal Authorization To Work:
Citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible for unrestricted employment under federal law. - Basic
Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university in engineering. Relevant substitutions apply. - Engineering
Experience:
Two (2) years of progressively responsible professional engineering experience required. - Driver’s License:
Valid driver’s license at the time of appointment. - Special Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry items of various weights with or without reasonable accommodation. - Substitutions:
Relevant substitutions allowed as described in the complete Minimum Qualification Requirements.
- Paid holidays: 13 per year (14 in an election year).
- Paid vacation: 21 days per year from the first year of employment, up to 90 days total.
- Paid sick leave: 21 days per year from the first year, no limit on accumulation.
- Health insurance:
State pays part of premiums for medical, drug, vision, and dental plans. - Retirement plan:
State contributes to a Hybrid Plan for eligible employees. - Other benefits: life insurance, flexible spending accounts, transportation benefits, deferred compensation, and additional leave and award programs.
