A Civil Engineer V performs difficult professional engineering work in supervising and participating in the design, construction, maintenance and operation of civil engineering projects. What you will do includes but is not limited to: supervising preliminary and final surveys, designing structures such as reservoirs, retaining walls, bridges, culverts, tunnels, pipelines, sewers, sidewalks, highways, etc, assigning subordinate engineers and inspectors to construction projects, settling disputes between contractors and inspectors, and approving construction changes.
There are multiple vacancies across various departments within the City and County of Honolulu:
- Three vacancies with the Honolulu Board of Water Supply (BWS), Capital Projects Division.
- Five vacancies with the Department of Design and Construction (DDC).
- Five vacancies with the Department of Environmental Services (ENV).
- Three vacancies with the Department of Facility Maintenance (DFM).
