Great Big Game Show hosts are world‑class hospitality experts who anticipate each guest's needs, serve them enthusiastically, and do whatever it takes to make their day. Hosts lead guests through live game show experiences, introducing each minigame, adding commentary, tracking points, awarding winners, celebrating guests, resetting studio components, and maintaining operational excellence.

Hosts at Great Big Game Show guide groups of 2‑14 through a series of 8‑10 physical, trivia, luck, and skill minigames within an hour‑long show. They track points, announce winners, provide upbeat commentary, and ensure guests enjoy a memorable experience.

• Embodied mission, vision, and values during every shift
• Lead groups of 2‑14 in fun, friendly conversation
• Collect information and make meaningful connections with guests
• Enthusiastically explain GBGS games and products
• Use Host software to interact with and adjust the studio environment
• Use UI (User Interface) to operate our game shows
• Give a recap of the experience in the outro
• Ensure operational excellence on shift by ensuring studio components function properly
• Use setup sheets to accurately reset studios
• Clean games and the GBGS facility
• Be timely and exemplify excellent time management skills to stay on schedule
• Restock inventory
• Complete necessary reports
• Use a company iPhone to record exciting guest moments during games, combine them into a 30‑second highlight video, and send these to guests
• Immediately and graciously resolve service failures
• Ensure each guest has a five‑star experience and leaves happy

• Flexible availability; this role often works nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time (including up to 4‑5 hours of running a game show).
• Ability to engage in public speaking for extended periods of time (including up to 4‑5 hours of running a game show).
• Ability to improvise fun, appropriate, professional commentary to suit guests of all ages.
• Proficient in reading, understanding, and memorizing Host scripts to deliver high-quality experiences as a GBGS Host.
• Excellent communication skills when speaking with our guests.
• Must be able to handle physical activity as it relates to the job, such as deep cleaning, painting, standing, crawling, bending, lifting 30‑40 lbs, and minor game repairs.
• Quickly reset numerous game components within specific time frames outlined in training.
• Align with GBGS Uniform Standards (listed in the linked job description).
