About BGCH

What

you’ll do

The Grants Accounting Manager is responsible for accounting for the grant transactions for both government and non-government grants. For government grants, the grants accounting manager is responsible for preparing and submitting the monthly billing. For both government and non-government grants, this position is responsible for preparing the month-end and any adjusting journal entries, reconciling both the contracts receivable and deferred revenue GL accounts, and preparing periodic reports to funders and Club Directors.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with the month-end close process and taking minutes for the quarterly/ monthly Investment and Finance Committee meetings.

Responsibilities

Government Grants

  • Prepare and submit monthly billing
  • Prepare month-end Contracts Receivable/Revenue Journal Entry
  • Reconcile Contracts Receivable GL account (12100)
  • Assist Christine to prepare any necessary Adjusting Journal Entries
  • Submit monthly/quarterly/final financial reports

Non-Government Grants

  • Prepare month-end Deferred Revenue/Revenue Journal Entry
  • Reconcile Deferred Revenue GL account (24100)
  • Assist Christine to prepare any necessary Adjusting Journal Entries

Prepare monthly/quarterly/final financial reports for non-government grants (in one of the three formats below):

  • Simple R&E report with Actual Revenue and Expense
  • R&E report with Actual vs approved Budgeted Revenue and Expense
  • Same as “b” above to also include “Other Similar Grants” Actual vs Budgeted Revenue and Expense for same period

Project Reporting to Club Directors

  • Maintain Grant Master File
  • Prepare monthly project reports for each site
  • Upload approved project budgets into MIP

End of Month Closing

  • Work with Accountant and CFO to ensure timely closing
  • Account reconciliations, as assigned

Investment/Finance Committee Meetings

  • Invite and host quarterly Investment Committee and monthly Finance Committee Meetings
  • Upload related documents to Boardable and notify members before meetings
  • Take minutes of all meetings
