Assistant Controller

Description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. Responsibilities:

- Assist in the preparation of accurate financial reports and statements, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.

- Support the development and implementation of financial policies and systems to align with organizational strategies.

- Collaborate in budget planning and ongoing management of financial resources.

- Conduct audits, review general ledger entries, and ensure the accuracy of financial data.

- Monitor accounting department operations and contribute to optimizing its organizational structure.

- Participate in tax audits and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal financial and legal requirements.

- Analyze financial discrepancies and implement corrective measures to prevent future issues.

- Provide oversight for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting functions.

- Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline financial processes and reporting.

- Contribute to forecasting and data analysis to inform strategic decision-making.

Requirements - Proven experience in an assistant controller or equivalent financial role.

- Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

- Proficiency in accounting software systems, including Excel, Crystal Reports, and Concur.

- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and forecasting.

- Familiarity with auditing practices and compliance standards.

- Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; certifications such as CPA or CMA are highly desirable.

- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other core accounting functions.
