Job DescriptionFirst Hawaiian Bank is seeking a detail-oriented, engaging, customer-focused Private Banking Officer to join our Private Banking Division team. The role involves providing quality customer service to Private Banking clients, proactively assisting them with their financial needs, and acting as a financial advisor who builds long‑term relationships. The officer will tailor financial solutions to meet client goals, collaborate with Wealth Management Group partners, and represent Private Banking professionally.

Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (Hours may vary)
CompensationThe annual salary range for this role is $64,168 - $140,000/year plus incentives and bonus; commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities- Provide quality customer service to Private Banking clients.
- Proactively assist clients with their financial needs through the delivery of banking services.
- Act as a financial advisor dedicated to building long-term relationships.
- Tailor financial solutions to meet client goals and objectives, leveraging Wealth Management Group partners and other banking areas.
- Project a professional image and competence as a representative of Private Banking.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Private Bankers must complete required wealth planning training within 6 months of joining PRD and obtain a minimum of two licenses and/or certifications related to wealth management within 18 months of hire.
- FHB Basic Residential Certification and MLO registration within 6 months from hire or equivalent work experience required.
- 5 years of experience in banking or finance related industry required.
- Preferred wealth management experience, including financial and estate planning, insurance and investment products.
- Preferred commercial and/or consumer lending skills with the ability to negotiate, structure, price, document and close transactions of small to moderate complexity with minimal guidance.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with strong knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, RMS and Branch Automation or equivalent.
- Well organized and capable of multitasking.
- Good time management skills and meets all required deadlines.
- Highly self‑motivated and goal‑oriented with sales skills to enhance business development objectives.
- Willingness to learn basic financial, retirement and estate planning techniques and solutions.
- Compliance with SAFE Act requirements by completing registration in National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) within 180 days of transfer into role.
- Meeting Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Loan Originator requirements.
