Senior Financial Planning Analyst

Senior Financial Planning Analyst – Regular, Employee Exempt.

Job Summary:

Develops KS’ consolidated short, medium, and long-term financial planning models, projections, and analyses. Consults with operating units that have organization-wide impact to better integrate planning activities with resource allocation and budgeting. Provides financial analysis and support for strategic planning initiatives through the annual budget process.

• Financial Planning and Analysis:
  Identify financial planning requirements; develop consolidated models and forecasts; establish benchmarks; provide trend analyses; review statistical methods; establish documentation of methodologies.
• Budgeting:
  Direct annual budget preparation, review, analysis, and evaluation of proposed initiatives; prepare executive summary reports; support CEO, trustees, and senior management presentations; develop alternatives and amendments; support operating units.
• Strategic Planning:
  Provide financial analysis for strategic initiatives; work with leaders to integrate financial information with plans; facilitate strategic planning activities.
• Management Reporting:
  Lead or support division operations including cost per learner calculations, Impact Model, long‑range planning, and annual budget presentation; serve as project lead; identify and lead change management efforts for improved reporting.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
• Minimum seven years of experience in public accounting and/or progressive strategic planning, financial forecasting, and analysis, and/or senior management responsibilities.
• Strategic planning and budgeting experience; ability to facilitate, synthesize, and integrate plans with operational budgets.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and prepare financial forecasts, complex models, reconciliations, and final reports.
• Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple concurrent projects.
• Independent judgment, discretion, flexibility, and the ability to work autonomously.
• Advanced IT skills:
  Excel, databases, PowerPoint, other software; experience with ERP systems and data mining.
• Knowledge of internal controls, business process re‑engineering, and change management projects.
• Supervisory experience and/or training.

• Understanding of KS organizational structure, processes, and operations.
• Experience with educational or large non‑profit institutions.

• May involve travel to other locations, including neighboring islands.
• Working hours:
  
  Monday‑Friday, normal business hours; evenings and weekends may be required.

• Annual Salary: $100,600 – $143,400.
