Duties
You will serve as a subject matter expert for accounting and finance, independently resolving complex financial, operational, and reporting issues for the U.S. Pacific Fleet.
You will plan, manage, and supervise the assigned organization, which consists of five GS-0501-13's and one GS-0501-12 Financial Management Analysts. You will provide both technical and administrative oversight.
You will direct all phases of accounting and financial management programs, utilizing in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, appropriation law, and financial systems.
You will plan, formulate, and develop accounting and financial policies and procedures to enhance the validity, accuracy, and integrity of accounting processes and financial reporting.
You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, the difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
