Responsibilities
- Auditing mortgage loan files to measure performance against legal, regulatory compliance, credit underwriting, investor and internal bank policies
- Performing file reviews for both pre-funding and post-closing loans to ensure compliance with defined policies and procedures
- Maintaining a strong professional relationship with personnel in the loan originations and loan servicing departments
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, related field, or equivalent experience
- With bachelor’s degree: 1 year of experience in underwriting mortgage loans, loan processing, and/or performing quality control underwriting
- Without bachelor’s degree (or equivalent): 3 years of experience in underwriting mortgage loans, loan processing, and/or performing quality control underwriting
- 2-3 years of experience in real estate lending, mortgage compliance, or mortgage banking
- One (1) year of experience in underwriting mortgage loans, loan processing, and/or performing quality control underwriting
