Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Represent UW‑Parkside Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid at university and off‑campus events, including presentations and FAFSA assistance.
- Provide counseling to students and families about the financial aid process, paperwork, budgeting, and payments.
- Assist in collecting and reviewing documentation, explaining requirements, and preparing financial aid applications.
- Review financial aid applications and aid awarding decisions, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
- Assist in reporting requirements to third‑party stakeholders (scholarship organizations, state agencies, the Department of Education).
- Maintain regulatory compliance with federal and state regulations related to financial aid and student data.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Triage processes or applications when issues arise.
- Allocate financial aid to qualifying students and audit award decisions.
- Hire, train, and supervise student employees.
- Serve as a point of contact for third‑party stakeholders on financial aid information and processes.
- Collect, prepare, and analyze financial aid data for stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong presentation skills.
- Experience using a student information system (People Soft, Banner, Ellucian, etc.).
- Knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations.
- At least 1 year experience working in higher education.
