This high member‑contact position assists members by processing transactions accurately and timely, complies with regulatory record‑keeping, actively sells and cross‑sells credit union products and services within established production programs, and furnishes account statuses.
Essential Functions- Accurately and efficiently process transactions.
- Accurately and efficiently perform service requests.
- Complete and file regulatory reports as required.
- Responsible for accurate handling and maintenance of all cash/negotiable instruments and end‑of‑day balancing.
- Process check deposits through Check 21 solution.
- Cross‑sell products and services to members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Meet strategic objective for service level (NPS).
- Accurately process requests.
- Maintain efficient production levels to support branch.
High school diploma or GED is required.
Required KnowledgeBasic understanding of MS Office Suite is desired.
Experience RequiredOne to two years of cash handling and/or customer service experience.
Skills / Abilities- Excellent customer service & interpersonal skills and mathematical skills.
- Able to work in a fast‑paced environment; frequently convey detailed or important instructions accurately or quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license required with clean abstract and vehicle for branch travel when scheduled.
Movements frequently and regularly using wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Communication SkillsMust frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately and quickly.
Visual AbilitiesAverage visual acuity necessary to read, prepare and inspect documents or products.
HearingAble to hear average or normal conversations and receive information.
Physical StrengthSedentary work (sitting most of the time). Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Reasoning AbilityAble to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions and deal with problems involving variables.
Mathematics AbilityAble to perform basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing using a calculator.
Language AbilityAble to write and compose sentences using normal word order with present and past tenses and command of the English vocabulary.
Working ConditionsAir‑conditioned, smoke‑free office setting.
