Universal Banker Leadership Development Program positions combine the core sales, service, operational, and risk‑management responsibilities of a Universal Banker with a structured development path toward future branch leadership role. Incumbents deliver an exceptional customer experience, build and retain customer relationships, identify customer banking needs, cross‑sell appropriate products and services, and refer customers to business partners and specialists, as appropriate. They are responsible for meeting assigned operational, sales, service, referral, and risk‑management goals while supporting the overall success of the branch.

Incumbents open consumer and business deposit products; accept and close secured and unsecured consumer and scored business loan and line of credit applications; and may be certified to accept and close home equity lines of credit and loans, as applicable. In addition to performing Universal Banker responsibilities, participants in this program complete formal training, on‑the‑job training, mentoring, coaching, developmental branch assignments, department rotations, and certification‑based progression designed to prepare them for future Assistant Manager opportunities.

The program curriculum is generally designed to be completed within approximately 18 to 30 months, depending on the participant’s experience, demonstrated proficiency, performance, and available placement opportunities. Progression through Levels I, II, and III reflects increasing capability, independence, complexity of work, and leadership readiness.

Level I focuses on foundational teller, new account, service, and relationship‑building skills. Level II expands into broader product knowledge, credit‑related exposure, branch operations, and developmental leadership exposure. Level III emphasizes advanced operational capability, team leadership, branch balancing/open‑close responsibilities, problem resolution, coaching support, and readiness for placement into an Assistant Manager role.

Performs all duties and interacts with internal and external customers in a manner that is expressly aligned with the Company's Core Values of approaching all actions with a “Voyaging Spirit” and being “Positively Ohana”. Exhibits core competencies that result in consistent delivery of positive Customer Interactions, Empowerment and Ownership and demonstrates key professional and performance skills such as Active Listening, effective Oral and Written Communication, Action and Solution Oriented and Thoroughness.
