Myers Capital Hawaii is seeking an experienced Junior Mortgage Loan Originator to join our growing team. As a premier mortgage brokerage and direct private lender, we take pride in delivering exceptional service and custom financing solutions to our clients. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in the industry, a deep understanding of the Hawaii real estate market, and a genuine commitment to client success.
In this role you will build and maintain relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and past clients while guiding borrowers through the entire journey, from the first consultation to closing, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.
Responsibilities- Originate residential mortgage loans (Conventional, VA, FHA, Jumbo, and Portfolio products).
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources.
- Interview prospective borrowers to analyze financial and credit data, determine objectives, and advise on product and pricing guidelines.
- Gather required documentation and work closely with processing and underwriting teams to ensure timely loan closings.
- Stay current with evolving mortgage guidelines, industry trends, and compliance regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, keeping all parties updated throughout the process.
- Active NMLS license (or ability to obtain immediately).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Proven track record of success in mortgage sales and origination.
- Strong understanding of Conventional, VA, FHA, and Jumbo loan products and guidelines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency with Encompass (LOS) and modern mortgage technology platforms.
