Salary Range: $76,268.68 To $ Annually

JOB SUMMARY

Provides leadership and day-to-day management of the Consumer Lending and Collections functions. The position is accountable for consumer loan production, credit administration, portfolio performance, collections effectiveness, quality control, employee development, operational controls, and compliance execution within Board-approved policies, delegated lending authority, and the credit union’s established risk appetite. Exercises independent judgment in managing department operations, approving, or recommending credit decisions within assigned authority, escalating material exceptions and emerging risks, and implementing corrective actions.

The position partners with branches, Compliance, Finance, Risk Management, Information Technology, Operations, and other business units to support responsible loan growth, sound credit quality, member service, operational efficiency, and accurate reporting to executive management, management committees, and the Board of Directors.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience/Skills
  • Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in consumer lending, credit administration, collections, loan review, compliance, or a related financial – service function.
  • Five (5) years of management or supervisory experience in a financial institution or comparable regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing consumer credit risk, portfolio performance, operational controls, regulatory compliance, examinations or audits, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of all laws and regulations applicable to consumer and home equity lending as well as collections
  • Strong credit analysis, underwriting, portfolio-management, problem-solving, financial analysis, and risk-based decision-making skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies, procedures, approval authorities, reports, and technical guidance; identify gaps; and implement sustainable corrective action.
  • Ability to lead change, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, communicate clearly, present to senior leadership and the Board, and work effectively across departments.
  • High degree of integrity, discretion, accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to analyze market trends, develop effective strategies and make data-driven decisions.
  • Managing budgets, forecasting sales and understanding financial reports.
  • Ability to make sound judgements under pressure to manage both financial and personnel resources.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, motivating and influencing others, building trust and diplomacy.
  • Proficient with MS Office products including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of project management processes and methodologies along with associated applications to effectively manage projects.
  • Experience in identifying, implementing and managing process improvement .
License/Certification
  • Valid Driver’s License required and access to a motor vehicle.
Preferred
  • An advanced degree and lending, compliance, audit, or risk-management education are preferred.

Credit must be in good standing. Must be bondable pursuant to §713.3(b) of the NCUA’s Rules and Regulations.
