ATA Services, Inc., is looking for a full-time Financial Analyst for our client HIEMA. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys transforming complex financial data into meaningful insights. As a Financial Analyst, you will help agency leaders understand the financial health of emergency management programs, monitor funding from state and federal sources, and ensure that resources are available where and when they are needed most.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Financial Analysis & Monitoring
  • Analyze financial data to determine the status of state and federal funding accounts.
  • Review expenditures, encumbrances, obligations, and revenue activity to evaluate fiscal performance.
  • Monitor budgets and identify funding variances, risks, and trends.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and projections to support agency planning and decision-making.
  • Develop reports and dashboards that communicate financial status to leadership.
Funding Management
  • Track and reconcile multiple funding sources, including federal and state appropriations.
  • Monitor grant expenditures to ensure compliance with funding requirements.
  • Analyze funding availability and identify potential shortfalls or surplus balances.
  • Assist with grant budget development, amendments, and funding reallocations.
  • Prepare financial reports required by federal and state funding agencies.
Financial Reporting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reports.
  • Present financial findings and recommendations to agency leadership.
  • Compile and analyze financial data from multiple systems and funding sources.
  • Maintain accurate records supporting fiscal reporting and audit requirements.
  • Ensure reporting deadlines are met and information is accurate and complete.
