Duties
* You will ensure that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services.
* You will articulate and communicate to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion.
* You will coach the team in the selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques, provide advice on work methods, practices and procedures, and assist the team in identifying the parameters of a viable solution.
* You will train or arrange for training of team members in methods and techniques of team building and working in teams to accomplish tasks or projects.
* You will monitor and report on the status and progress of work, checking on work in progress and reviewing completed work to see that the supervisor's instructions on work priorities, methods, deadlines and quality have been met.
* You will prepare reports and maintain records of work accomplishments and administrative information, as required, and coordinate the preparation, presentation and communication of work-related information to the supervisor.
* You will research, learn and apply a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, assesses, analyze and improve team effectiveness, efficiency and work products.
* You will assist the JDN Integrator (JDNI) and the Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) in identifying multi-tactical Data Link interoperability requirements.
* You will perform work that involves ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of C2 and Maritime Common Operational Picture (COP) systems, networks and data. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
* Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
* This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 411 TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST, proficiency level INTERMEDIATE. Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain Qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and DON policies.
* Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
* You will be required to sign a mobility agreement to accept relocation to other geographic locations if required by the employer.
* A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.
* Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector evaluating IT security principles, methods, and tools to resolve critical problems in agency-wide systems and development of new approaches and techniques for the use by others on Maritime Operations Center (MOC) Theater and Fleet Command and Control (C2) systems.
