Position: AUDITOR I AND II - OAHU - (OHHI)

Recruitment Information

Recruitment Number: OHHI-26037 - Immediate vacancy within the Department of Taxation, Downtown.

Salary
  • Auditor I: $4,243 per month (SR-16, Step

    D)
  • Auditor II: $4,590 per month (SR-18, Step

    D)
Responsibilities
  • Professional auditing work: examine accounts to render an opinion regarding the financial position and operations of governmental agencies, individuals, and business entities.
  • Level I: receives training and assists in a trainee capacity with auditing activities; performs assigned duties as required.
  • Level II: advanced trainee who performs a variety of assignments ranging from simple to moderately difficult, applying auditing principles; performs assigned duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Legal Authorization to work in the US: citizen, national, permanent resident, or eligible under federal law.
  • Basic

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university with at least twelve semester credit hours in accounting and/or auditing subjects.
  • Specialized

    Experience:

    None for Level I; one year progressively responsible professional auditing experience for Level II.
  • Driver’s License: possession of a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment is required for the immediate vacancy.
  • Substitutions: relevant substitutions described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements may apply.
