ResponsibilitiesPerforms detailed routines of limited complexity pertaining to processing of human resources actions which are typically: (a) assigned on a continuing basis; and (b) covered by well-established guidelines, procedures and/or instructions that provide a fairly specific basis for taking action; and performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualification Requirements- Legal Authorization to Work:
State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State to be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment. - General
Experience:
One year of progressively responsible general office clerical experience. - Specialized
Experience:
One year of experience in an office where the work required the knowledge and application of relevant human resources rules, regulations, procedures and program requirements. - Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Requirement:
Must not have engaged in sexual abuse in any correctional facility, nor be convicted of related offenses, nor be subject to substantiated allegations, or have resigned during a pending investigation of alleged sexual abuse. - Driver's License:
Must possess a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment.
Applicants who are conditionally offered employment or approved for movement into positions with the Department of Public Safety shall be subject to drug screening and an intensive background check. Applicants will be responsible for any costs involved.
Relevant substitutions as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements will apply.
