Position: Intelligence Specialist (Operations) with Security Clearance
Duties
* Serve as an Intelligence Specialist and Counterintelligence (CI) Special Agent in the Military Civilian Excepted Career Program (MICECP).
* Make operational decisions, initiate actions, and set precedents based on interpretation of policy concerning development and implementation of operational plans and concepts.
* Plan, oversee, and conduct the full range of Counterintelligence (CI) and Counterespionage (CE) investigations.
* Prepare and implement associated CI operational reports, plans, and memoranda.
* Develop innovative methods and procedures to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
* Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
* Must sign and comply with the provisions of a mobility (rotation) agreement. Mobility may include unaccompanied tours.
* All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended temporary duty (TDY) or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
* May be required to perform TDY of at least 25% of the time and may be subject to extended TDY.
* Must be able to successfully complete all required courses and training for the discipline, position, and grade as directed by the CG, INSCOM, the MICECP Program Manager or otherwise established in the program manager rule guide.
* In accordance with the MICECP Career guide, must be able to obtain and maintain Army CI Badge and Credentials.
* Two year probationary period may be required. Qualifications Who May Apply:

One year of specialized experience which includes conducting Counterintelligence (CI), Counterespionage (CE), and/or Counter terrorism (CT) operations/investigations; preparation of associated CI/CE/CT reports, plans, and memoranda; and, participating with intelligence community personnel to exchange information, resolve issues and conducting liaison with intelligence partners. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS/GG-12).
