Position: PROFESSIONAL WORKER III (PROGRAM SPECIALIST DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES) - PERMANENT PART-TIME, KAUAI
Location: East Honolulu

Position Overview

Recruitment Number 26-0251. The vacancy is located in Lihue, Department of Health. Salary: $29.46 to $35.89 hourly (SR-20, Step D to I).

Responsibilities

Participates in the planning and coordination of programs and activities concerned with services to the developmentally disabled; conducts program and operational studies and activities to assist grant‑aided agencies in developing programs for the development of the master plan; monitors grant‑aided agencies to ensure activities and use of funds conform to project intent and requirements; performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Legal Authorization to Work:

The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government to be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.

Basic Education/

Experience:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited four‑year college or university.

Specialized

Experience:

One and one‑half years of progressively responsible professional experience in social work, public health, or other related fields demonstrating knowledge of current social and economic conditions, community organizations, and the services and/or programs they offer to the community; knowledge and understanding of the problems and needs of the developmentally disabled; ability to conduct studies and analyses of ongoing programs through active participation in the planning, coordination, and development of programs and/or program activities.
