Position: EXECUTIVE SUPPORT SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Duties
* Supports the PACAF Deputy Commander. Provides critical analysis and brainstorming on issues of interest to senior leadership.
* Provides administrative support for the Deputy Commander. Providing project liaison and administrative supervision and direction to staff action officers who interact with the DCOM and the assigned front office.
* Controls the Deputy Commander's calendar. Arranges and schedules appropriate office calls, meetings, briefings, roundtable discussions, luncheons, and social events.
* Plans, organizes, and executes complex programs, meetings, and visits (e.g., visits from senior government representatives, senior foreign government representatives, PACOM, NAF and wing commanders). This position assists with managing the day-to-day administrative operations, ensuring smoothly functional and efficient operation on behalf of DCOM.
* Serves as oversight for Defense Travel System actions for the Deputy Commander. Ensures accurate accounting information, traveler information, and funds availability within the DTS system. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
* Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Knowledge of security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information is required.
* May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours which may include overtime, compensatory time, or credit hour work.
* NE001 - Not eligible for telework as the position requires the employee's physical presence due to face-to- face contact with others. May be eligible for telework during emergency or OPM prescribed "unscheduled telework" with supervisory approval.
* Selectee is required to meet specific physical standards and medical requirements consistent with being able to perform the essential functions of the overseas position.
