The land agents perform and/or supervise or administer work in the acquisition of lands for public purposes, in the disposition of public lands for approved private and public purposes, and in the inspection and enforcement of terms and conditions of land dispositions and provisions of public land laws. The Land Agent IV performs the full range of work in the acquisition and disposition of all public lands of the State including complex and difficult assignments;
conducts land management activities; and performs other duties as assigned.
Applicants will be placed on the eligible list for ALL levels for which they are qualified. To qualify, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States. Basic
Education:
Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelor's degree. Specialized
Experience:
Two and one-half (2-1/2) years of progressively responsible professional experience which demonstrated knowledge of Hawaii Land laws, real estate laws and terminology, the real property appraisal process, various types of land titles and legal instruments affecting land transactions; and the ability to gather and analyze land transaction data; prepare reports of findings, including conclusions and recommendations, and meet and deal effectively with others.

Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment. Federal Criminal History Records Check:
In accordance with Federal regulations, persons who are being considered for employment in positions which require unescorted access to secured areas at the airport, must undergo a pre-employment fingerprint-based criminal history record check. In order to be granted the Security Identification Display Area ( SIDA ) clearance, prospective employees must not have been convicted, or found "not guilty by reason of insanity," of a disqualifying criminal offense within 10 years from the date of the application.
