Position: AUDITOR I AND II - OAHU - (OHHI)

Recruitment Number: OHHI-26037 - Immediate vacancy in the Department of Taxation, Downtown.

Position Overview

Professional auditing work covering examination of accounts for the purpose of rendering an opinion regarding the financial position and operations of governmental agencies, individuals, and business entities being examined.

Responsibilities
  • Level I:
    Receives training and assists in a trainee capacity in activities pertaining to professional auditing; performs other duties as required.
  • Level II:
    Advanced trainee, performs a variety of assignments ranging from simple to moderately difficult which do not require the services of a fully trained auditor; performs other duties as required.
Salary

Auditor I: $4,243 per month (SR-16, Step

D).
Auditor II: $4,590 per month (SR-18, Step

D).

Qualifications
  • Legal Authorization to Work:
    Citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the U.S.
  • Basic

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 semester hours in accounting and/or auditing.
  • Specialized

    Experience:

    Level I – none;
    Level II – one year progressive auditing experience requiring knowledge and application of generally accepted principles.
  • Driver’s License:
    Some positions require a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment. Immediate vacancy has this requirement.
