Duties
* You will provide technical leadership and expertise in Cultural Resources management.
* You will prepare or manage the preparation of documents and special studies, interpreting laws and regulations to allow for successful project execution.
* You will coordinate and consult with stakeholders, including federal, state, and local agencies, historic preservation organizations, and the public regarding project effects.
* You will have primary responsibility for technical and programmatic aspect of matters pertaining to cultural resources and consultation for SIOP projects to ensure program objectives and schedules are met.
* You will oversee a broad range of cultural resources services undertaken to ensure compliance with Section 106 and Section 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA). Requirements Conditions of employment

* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
* Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the
Functional Area
and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established time frames.
* A post allowance amount, (otherwise known as: COLA), of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary. Post allowance is subject to change at any time. For additional information, please refer to the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), Chapter 5 Part
B.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
* You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* If applying as a Landscape Architect (0807 series) you must have a current registration as a Professional Landscape Architect from any state, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico.
* Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.
* A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. Qualifications Selective Placement Factor (SPF):
If applying as a Landscape Architect (0807 series), you must have a current registration as a Professional Landscape Architect from any state, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. You must provide a copy of this registration with your application. In addition to the SPF and Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector most or all the following experience:
1) Providing technical support and guidance to stakeholders with regards to cultural resources protection and preservation;
2) Advising installations on proposed actions/federal undertakings that affect cultural resources to ensure compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA);
3) Assessing project impacts on historic properties (e.g. acquisition, preservation, restoration, reconstruction) in accordance with Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties; and
