Immediate Vacancies: Department of Agriculture & Biosecurity (Downtown) and Department of Land & Natural Resources (Ewa)
Salary: $6,221 to $7,568 per month (SR-24, Step D to I)
Note: Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant's qualifications, and other relevant factors.
Responsibilities- Assist a department director by coordinating various administrative matters and making investigations and special studies of department problems.
- Prepare reports and recommendations on assigned subjects.
- Assume limited administrative responsibilities as directed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Conduct special studies and program analysis; collect and analyze data; investigate complaints and infractions; identify problems and alternative solutions; develop logical recommendations for actions.
- Legal Authorization to Work: All applicants must be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or otherwise eligible for unrestricted employment in the United States.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Excess work experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis if it demonstrates equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Experience:
Minimum 1.5 years of professional work experience demonstrating:- Clear, comprehensive writing of reports, analyses, proposals, and recommendations.
- Read and interpretation of complex written materials such as laws, regulations, and program guidelines.
- Resolution of complex problems.
- Clear and persuasive oral communication.
- Establishment and maintenance of cooperative working relationships.
- Preparation of operational and activity reports.

Experience:
Minimum 2 years of professional work experience demonstrating:- Planning and coordinating program activities.
- Solving operational problems involving administrative processes.
- Conducting studies and analysis of programs, projects, and services to assess effectiveness and achieve goals.
- Development of logical recommendations for action and improvement of operations.
- Analytical skill to identify information needs, collect and analyze data, and craft comprehensive reports.
- Driver’s License: Some positions require possession of a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment.
