Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Joint Fires Exercise Planner to join our team!
Are you ready to join a team leading joint integration and planning for EUCOM and component exercises? Do you thrive when working in direct support of an operational end user? The ideal candidate will possess operational experience that includes awareness and/or participation in joint and combined operations/exercises at the Combatant Command (CCMD) or Component level, and an operational understanding of Joint Training Tool (JTT).
Specific responsibilities include:
- Participate in key Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) exercise planning conferences / events
- Provide input into EUCOM J7 key documents to include official messages, pre- and post-event briefs
- Establish and maintain a Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) schedule for the Joint Fire Enterprise to assure coordination and timely execution of exercise tasks and actions
- Advise the uniformed military planners on exercise development
- Develop Joint Fires Training Objectives, scenarios, and injects
- Provide technical expertise, advice, and assistance to the Joint Fires Division Chief and staff
- Coordinate with NATO and component Joint Fires personnel
- Support identification of assessment criteria and collection of data to aid in generating assessments
- Develop and build exercise In Progress Review (IPR) briefs for ECJ3 senior leaders
- Assist in the development and composition of the exercise TASKORDs for assigned exercises
- Provide exercise support to other USEUCOM J7 exercise planning teams as directed outside of assigned exercises
Required education/experience includes:
- 10+ years' relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 8+ years with a Master's (Master's degree preferred)
- 3+ years CCMD HQ experience
- 2+ years in a Joint Fires Element/Division at the CCMD or Component level
- Multi-theater operational or senior staff (CCMD and/or Joint Staff) experience desired if candidate has no USEUCOM-associated staff experience
- Applicant will possess an adequate understanding of NATO and its processes
- Valid US Passport; must be able to travel to countries in the USEUCOM Area of Responsibility
- Able to work extended hours in support of exercise requirements
- Applicant will possess skills and experience in Microsoft Office computer programs (specifically Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Applicant will have experience and proven ability to organize/manage several projects
- Applicant must possess the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Applicant must posses an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility required
Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.
