Job DescriptionDuties
- You will be responsible for preparing OPORDS and CONOPS for SOCPAC assigned and apportioned forces, to execute CDRUSINDOPACOM directed missions
- You will plan, coordinate and execute special operations activities in support of Sec Def-directed operations in USINDOPACOM AOR, USINDOPACOM JCET Program and CJCS Joint Exercise Program involving SOF.
- You will serve as USINDOPACOM office of primary responsibility for all CT, OPE, PSYOPS, CA and contingency JTF 510.
- Your will direct operating functions of an organization (e.g., budget preparation, awards and evaluations, business rules and processes) to ensure programs are meeting mission requirements

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR .
Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as:
1) Determining and developing program goals and work plans for special operations of air, ground, and maritime activities;
2) Developing analysis and proposals for organizational changes in areas of organizational structure, operational costs, and establishment/elimination of key positions;
3) Prioritizing and assigning tasks to subordinates in support of achieving the command's mission;
4) Assisting in the development of command directed, joint, combined, and unilateral special operations program activities (i.e. public relations and policy, congressional relations, and economic impact);
5) Determining resource needs, allocating resources and accounts for the effective use of these resources in employing Special Operations Forces (SOF) and approving expenditures of funds to meet operational requirements;
6) Directing the development of training programs, operations exercises, and evaluations of theater capabilities with regards to counter terrorism doctrine, organization, and missions.
