- Serves as a Government Flight Representative (GFR) while providing aircraft program maintenance operations.
- Reviews and analyzes contract planning as Government Flight Representative and safety evaluator.
- Coordinates activities at the executive level to ensure timely, cohesive, and accurate support.
- Collaborates in the preparation of comprehensive analysis reports covering all phases of studies and investigations relative to assigned area of responsibility.
- Ensures contract compliance are within regulations by evaluating contractor's procedures, performance of delegations, and maintenance requirements for assigned aircraft.

- Appointment may be subject to a Tier 3, Noncritical Sensitive
- Moderate Risk suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. - This position requires deployment to designated locations based on operational needs of the agency.
- This position requires the incumbent to travel in a temporary duty status up to 50% of the time.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position requires the incumbent be a rated military aviator.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess and maintain a valid Official Passport.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- Incumbent must be able to possess and maintain a Government Credit Card.
- Position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter.
- Incumbent is required to be mobile for regular rotational assignments worldwide as the needs of the service dictate. Incumbent is required to sign a world wide Mobility agreement.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential". During severe weather conditions or other emergency situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- In accordance with AR 690-11, this position is designated as "Emergency-Essential" during times of deployment. Emergency-Essential designation takes precedence over any transportation agreement or military recall status.
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a pre-employment Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE Form 450, and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
