Behavioral Health Associate - Treatment Services; Call-In, Varied Shifts

RESPONSIBILITIES

Effective Date: 11/25

• Assists in the planning and implementation of patient care on the inpatient behavioral health units and in Day Treatment programs.
• Performs duties in accordance with established departmental and Medical Center policies and procedures.

• Finger dexterity. Seeing. Hearing. Speaking.

• Infrequent:
  Lift waist to shoulder between 11-20 lbs. Push and Pull between 21-35 lbs.
• Occasional:
  Carry between 11-20 lbs.
• Frequent: N/A
• Constant: N/A

• Infrequent:
  Stoop/Bend. Kneel. Twist. Reach: shoulder level. Reach: above head. Gripping.
• Occasional:
  Sit. Squat. Climb:
  Stairs/Ladder.
• Frequent:
  Stand. Walk.
• Constant: N/A

• May be exposed to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
• May be exposed to communicable diseases from patients.
• Patients may be aggressive and/or paranoid.

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field; or four (4) years progressive experience in a behavioral health setting.

• Effective February 01, 2026 BLS CPR certification shall be required for all Behavioral Health Associates.

• One (1) year experience working in a behavioral health setting preferred; e.g., inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient programs.
